You can visit the Navigli (Milan's canals), a leisure area where it is quite typical to have an aperitif at sunset.

First, cool off, as Milan's humid heat can be devastating. If you're in the center, you can get a pistachio gelato at Ciacco, an ice cream shop two minutes from the Duomo.

You can also go to Piazza Gae Aulenti (in the financial district), where you'll see large skyscrapers among which the Bosco Verticale stands out. A vertical forest full of native Lombardy plants and trees.

Near the financial area, you can find one of the most spectacular cemeteries in Europe, the Monumental Cemetery. Full of tombs that are real works of art, some belonging to famous families like Campari, Versace, etc.

There are also hidden churches in the center that will surely surprise you, such as San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, also known as the Sistine Chapel of Milan. It's right on Corso Magenta and entry is free.
