What will we do?
Welcome to the Alcalá World Heritage Tour!
My name is David Alba, a certified guide with a degree in Tourism from the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH). With this tour you will be able to understand a city that has a history of more than 2 millennia. You will learn the ins and outs of what is the first University City in the World, what was the Alcalá of the 3 Cultures and the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.
We will start in the Plaza de las Bernardas, the least busy place in the center, and we will see all the main tourist attractions from less to more, until we reach the University, being the most important. At the end of the tour, we will go through everything as if it were a good novel, full of curiosities and funny explanations ;)
We will visit the exterior (We will enter the Oidor Chapel except for the 18:00 group):
- Bernardas Square
- Archbishop's Palace
- Cathedral Magistral de los Santos Niños
- Main Street
- Cervantes' Birthplace Museum
- Cervantes Square
- Chapel of the Oidor (We will see the Baptismal Certificate of Cervantes)
- Old University of Alcalá
And more! (With game included during the Tour, we will see what happens at the end)
