What will we do?
Join us on this free night tour of Imperial Rome to visit one of the most impressive sites in the world and discover the history of Rome—once the capital of the Empire and the Ancient World—by moonlight.
Together with our expert guide, you’ll be transported to the Roman world in front of the great Colosseum, which takes on a completely different look in the quiet of the night. We’ll tell you how the Flavian Amphitheater worked, as well as about the most famous spectacles in history: the gladiator fights.
We’ll continue along the Via dei Fori Imperiali to admire what was once the heart of the Empire: the Roman Forum and the Imperial Forums, built by some of history’s most famous figures: Julius Caesar, Emperor Augustus, and the great Trajan, who left us one of the wonders of the Eternal City, Trajan’s Column. All this while we enjoy the Roman night and, of course, the reconstructions that will help us visualize them just as they were in antiquity.
We’ll take a leap through the centuries to visit Piazza Venezia and the monumental Altar of the Fatherland, the symbol of Italian unification, and we’ll climb one of Rome’s hills to explore the wonderful Piazza del Campidoglio, designed by the great artist Michelangelo. Finally, our tour will conclude with a panoramic view of the illuminated Roman Forum, one of the most romantic spots in the city.
